Origin Story

I didn’t come to skincare through beauty trends; I came through caregiving and grief. For years, I was a family caregiver for my father, sister, and uncle as they approached the end of their lives, all while carrying the unhealed loss of my mother, who died not long after I graduated high school. Those seasons stretched me thin and taught me how easily caregivers disappear inside everyone else’s needs.

Along the way, I became a life coach and began working with women family caregivers, listening to the quiet stories of exhaustion, invisible labor, and bodies running on empty.

I don’t actively coach in the traditional sense anymore, but that calling never left. Today, I coach through my hands and my craft. DEVA grew out of my own need for small, honest rituals of care—simple bars, butters, and scrubs that remind you: you are not an afterthought.

Every batch is made in micro-quantities here in Northeast Ohio with tallow, plant butters, and botanicals from the actual garden, so your ritual feels like it was made by a woman who understands what it means to hold a lot and still want softness for yourself.
